Update: Sverve had been acquired by Bloglovin’. New site name, but the same features. The links in this post will redirect to the new site.
Sverve is a website that connects bloggers and social media influencers with brands and businesses to create a mutually beneficial relationship. Influencers are connected to brands through campaigns. These campaigns compensate the brand by social media and blog exposure and compensate the influencer by a cash payout or by receiving a free product. There are four different types of campaigns an influencer can be offered: a sponsored post, a targeted tweet, a YouTube promotion, or a Pinterest sweepstake.
How To Get Started
First you will want to visit sverve.com and register for an account as an influencer. If you are a blogger, you will want to add the Sverve badge to your homepage sidebar in order to verify your blog. Then you will want to connect all of your social media outlets in order to maximize your influence.
Under the campaign tab is where you will find all of your opportunities as an influencer. After you have applied to a campaign a yellow dot will appear with the words “applied” under the campaign title. After the brand has accepted your application, the yellow dot will be replaced with an orange one with the words “engaged”.
Under the messages tab is where brands will be able to communicate with you. The green money sack is where your earned income is displayed. Sverve allows their influencers to cash out at a $5.00 minimum. The notifications tab is where you will be notified of any new followers or endorsements.
What is a Sverve Score and How To Improve It
The orange circle with a number in the menu bar is your personal Sverve Score. The higher this score is the better. This number is Sverve’s interpretation of your reach as an influencer. There are three aspects that go into determining your Sverve Score and therefore three different ways you can work to improve it.
- Social Influence- The more followers you have on your social media accounts, the higher this aspect of your Sverve Score will be. Be sure to connect all of your accounts and to always be working towards increasing your follower numbers.
- Blog Influence- Sverve uses metrics such as unique visitors, page views, Alexa ranking, and Google page rank to determine this aspect of your Sverve Score.
- Sverve Influence- This number is calculated using the number of endorsements you have on Sverve in your top three areas of influence. Try following and endorsing other bloggers on Sverve, and maybe they will return the favor!
I really love Sverve, it is the first way I ever made a penny on my blog. I was paid $.10 for a targeted tweet and is was SO exciting! It wasn’t much but it encouraged me that even though my blog is small and just starting out I could still find success in it.
