substitutions
Vegetarian Nachos – If I were to adapt this to a vegetarian nacho recipe I would probably load it up with things like back beans and corn while omitting the meat! I’d warm the black beans and corn on the stovetop together and add the taco seasoning to the mixture then add to the nachos before broiling.
Chicken or Turkey Sheet Pan Nachos – Cook up any other meat you want, add the taco seasoning to the meat, and cook it the same way!
TIP: When I was a kid, my grandparents used to make nachos like this every time we came to visit. With so many different preferences on toppings for each person, they started buying disposable pie plates and had each person make their own nachos in their own pie plate! That way everyone could get what they wanted. Plus, EASY clean up with the pie plates! Just toss them in the trash when you’re done.
