Any other candy hating moms out there!? I don’t hate candy totally, but I’d rather my daughter not come home from Valentine’s day at school with 800 pieces of candy. So this year we did no candy and made a Play-Doh Valentine instead!

DIY Play-Doh Valentine
I’ve seen these done a few times before on Pinterest, but didn’t love all of the sayings on them. The printables Valentines to cut out were also mostly being sold online and I thought, hey I could make something like that for free! So I did!

I did take me way longer than I thought it would to make them. Turns out I am not super great at graphic design LOL, but I think they ended up super cute!
To make it easier for whoever might find this blog post in the future I am going to link this printable sheet at the bottom of the post so that you can just download and use it for free too.
How to Create a Play-Doh Valentine

I had cardstock already at home so I printed these off on that. I would definitely recommend using cardstock instead of regular paper. It’s just more durable and hopefully won’t rip on their journey to school.
Then I went and bought Play-Doh at Walmart. I originally planned on buying the mini Play-Doh containers, but when I got there I realized that the big containers were only 50 cents so altogether I would only be spending $6.50 on these Valentines.
After that, we just cut out the circles and taped them to the lids of the Play-Doh containers! Super easy. My daughter still wanted to write names on them so she wrote the names of her classmates on the space at the top and her name at the space on the bottom.

Printable Play-Doh Valentine
It should be super simple to print this sheet off. All you’ll have to do is click the link and it should open in a different internet tab, then you’ll be able to print or download and print from there. My printer was super low on ink and I was able to print them with no issues so they don’t take a lot of ink!
Love this!
