I have been compensated by the JOHNSON’S® Brand for this post; however, I am sharing my own thoughts. All opinions are my own.
There is no better time than summertime for your beauty routine to be simplified with these fun beauty hacks!
My beauty routine is normally super simple, but during the summer it reaches a whole new level of simplicity. I’d rather be at the lake, pool, or outside playing with my daughter than worried about what my makeup/hair/skin looks like.
Most of my beauty hacks come from using products I already have to carry around. With a toddler and a baby on the way, I am always stocked with baby products so those are the easiest (and most useful!) things for me to incorporate into my beauty routine, especially on the go!
Summer Beauty Hacks
Whether I am chasing my toddler, trying to get a workout in, or heading to the lake there are many summer moments where my makeup needs to come off. I mean, 100 degree Texas heat usually doesn’t pair well with makeup. So when I am on the go, I usually grab JOHNSON’S® Baby Hand and Face Wipes to quickly remove my face makeup.
Another tried and true makeup removal hack is using JOHNSON’S® Baby Oil. My mom has done this for as long as I can remember and still removes her makeup this way every night! It works SUPER well on stubborn mascara that won’t come off.
Out of dry shampoo, but still need a fresh look? Use JOHNSON’S® Baby Powder! There have been many summer days where we are headed to the lake or pool and it makes no sense to style my hair, but I still need it to look decent. I use baby powder at the roots of my hair to freshen it up and make it look clean!
Summertime is crucial for keeping your legs smooth and shaved. Instead of buying shaving cream separately, I use JOHNSON’S® Baby Oil! When I shave, I put it on just as I would shaving cream and it keeps my legs super smooth and hydrated.
Another tip, if you sprinkle JOHNSON’S® Baby Powder on the freshly shaved sensitive areas, it will protect the skin from further irritation!
After a day at the beach, the last thing I want to do is bring sand into my truck or house. We use JOHNSON’S® Baby Powder to remove sand from our skin!
It is super easy to do, just sprinkle baby powder on the sandy areas of your body and basically the powder absorbs the moisture and allows you to brush the sand right off your skin!
I use JOHNSON’S® Baby Hand and Face Wipes to remove sweat and freshen myself up after spending time outside. If I am on the go and can’t go home to shower, I use the wipes on my face and underarms to freshen myself up before moving on to my next errand!
It really works! I just have to make sure and have spare deodorant to reapply after I wipe down!
My skin gets incredibly dry in the summer and winter months. Besides drinking as much water as I can, I often use JOHNSON’S® Baby Oil to help moisturize my skin. Like I mentioned above, I use it when I shave, but I also use it on any dry patches of skin I may have!
It is always SO important to exfoliate your skin. I regularly make my own JOHNSON’S® Baby Oil sugar scrubs at home to use for exfoliation. They are super easy to make and you can get the few ingredients you need at Walmart!
DIY Exfoliating Sugar Scrub
1 cup JOHNSON’S® Baby Oil
4 cups sugar
20 drops essential oil (I used lime)
- Mix ½ cup of baby oil with 2 cups of sugar.
- Once well mixed add 2 remaining cups sugar and remaining ½ cup baby oil.
- Add your favorite essential oil.
- Mix well and store in a glass jar with lid.
